Babajide Kolade otitoju a veteran journalist, while speaking on the last edition of the popular program ”Journalist Hangout”on TVC news August 7, reacted to the conviction of the popular singer Naira Marley who was arraigned in Abuja mobile court for violating COVID-19 guidelines during the total lockdown in the country.
Babajide while reacting mocks the popular singer with one of his music “Mafo”, he said “I am very happy that, finally he has been convicted for violating the COVID-19 guidelines, because most Nigerians have been saying he will probably get away with it. As we can see he was arraigned and convicted today, he will be paying a fine of #200,000.
The money is not an issue, but the fact that he is an ex-convict is enough to show all the youths that no one is above the law. Imagine these Naira Marley popular called “marlian” going for a concert when the whole country is under lockdown, no artiste all over the world is holding any show but with the level of indiscipline he beholds, he went ahead and violate the laws of the land.
I don’t believe the story of the aircraft management saying they taught it was Fashola Minister for Works, that requested for the aircraft. Can’t they differentiate between a Marlian and Minister, am very sure Naira Marley carries a dreadlock and definitely no belt. Will a Minister go out with a dreadlock and tattoos, definitely No.
Anyway Naira Marley I need to coat one of your own music ”Mafo” you don’t need to think about it, I feel as a marlian you don’t need to regret your actions, babajide said jokingly.
What do you make of Babajide’s comment on Naira Marley conviction?
Should he regrets his action or as he widely say that Marlians don’t break or regret?
